Rental and Utility Assistance Questions:
Have you received assistance in the last 12 months from any other agency for rent or utilities?
If so, who?
Do you know what type of funds they used to assist you?
What kind of utility payment are you seeking assistance with?
Do you know what type of funds they used to assist you? (i.e. Project Reach, EFSP, etc)
Are you a senior citizen, age 60 and over?
Are you disabled and can show proof of medical necessity?
Are you or a spouse active military?
Must have the following:
1. Five day notice and eviction notice (Mortgages are ok)(for rental assistance)
2. Copy of Nevada Power Bill (in the eligible person's name) (for utility assistance)
3. Complete lease agreement
- Must be a lease six months or longer, no month to month
- Can not assist with tax credits or subsidized housing such as Section 8
4. Photo ID and social security for all adults listed on the lease
5. Proof of identity for children, i.e. social security cards, birth certificates, etc.
6. Proof of income, must be able to pay next month's rent independently
7. Proof of medical necessity (if relevant)
8. Proof of active duty of spouse (if relevant)
9. Proof of expenses
10. Proof of hardship, i.e. bills, payments, etc.
- Client must pay the late fees in the form of a money order
- Can assist with move-ins but most have all the paperwork from the prospective landlord (there is a form).
