In 2012 LSSN pioneered the open air mobile market program to provide fresh vegetables, fruit and other food to families in “food desert” areas around Southern Nevada. LSSN truck travels to those who live far from grocery stores and do not have transportation to visit LSSN. In the last year alone, the program distributed at least 150,000 pounds of food to over 5,000 people. The program has captured the attention of others and has been replicated by several organizations.
