Lutheran Social Services of Nevada strives to offer competent and comprehensive programs which complement and partner with other community organizations that focus on and participate in strengthening our families and eliminating the barriers to becoming a healthy community. The agency is committed to delivering its services in a culturally competent manner.

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada began serving the Southern Nevada community in 1985 as Lutheran Social Ministries of the Southwest. From 1985-1996 the social ministry operated a food pantry and clothing closet. In 1996, the agency became incorporated, adopting the Lutheran Social Services of Nevada name, and earned its 501(c)(3) status (86-0845241). Since 1997 LSSN has served over 125,000 people in need through our programs.

We are proud of the programs and services offered through our three divisions; The Emergency Services Division, Health Services Division, and Supportive Services Division. These divisions, created in July 2006, house the agency's original programs and the necessary infrastructure for growth.
